Blend Golf Accuracy and Distance

Most novice golfers make the mistake of trying to hit the ball as far as possible. Countless golfers never get out of this mindset and this is one of the reasons why they will never reach their full potential with the golf swing The smart golfer will practice for accuracy first and focus on the distance once they have control over their golf swing

There is know point hitting for distance if the ball lands on another fairway or in the rough. What will happen here is your efforts to hitting the ball longer, will end up with you hitting your next shot from another fairway, or trying to find your ball in the rough. A drive down the center of the fairway, whereas a few yards shorter, will set you up for a preferred approach shot and a better result in your scoring at the end of the day.

When you use smaller, more controlled swings, you will gain control of your shots sooner and you will progress to the longer distances faster.

You will learn proper execution methods, that will hold you in good steed for the rest of your playing career. By learning accuracy first, you will also be lengthening the distance of your drives and will hit the ball further. Beginning with smaller swings it will be easier to train your body to develop the proper muscle memory, and these actions will be necessary when you progress to the longer drives.

When you perfect your golf swing, you can advance to a full swing knowing that you will have the control to hit the ball in the right direction. This unification of the proper procedure and a full swing will ensure you will hit the ball further than would be likely if you had only aimed for the big shots from the start

If you notice your drives are unpredictable then it would be wise to focus on control, even if that means adjustments to your golf swing until you are hitting the ball the way you should to improve your golf game

The Swingyde is great!
By Elaine Hazelrigg "golf fanatic" (Albuquerque, NM USA)
I purchased the Swingyde to help me with the wrist hinge in my golf swing.
I wasn't sure I was doing it correctly and wanted some instant feedback.
The device is wonderful. I use it to practice and in my warm up before a round.
My iron striking has improved dramatically.

Actual Customer Feedback

** I have used one before and I think it really helps with tempo, especially the transfer at the top of your swing. It will definately help your swing, if you have a traditional type swing. If you tend to swing a little flat, you will have trouble with the Medicus. It "forces" you to swing upright and on a single plane.

** I own the Medicus, both the driver and the 5 iron. I love them both. It is great tool for rhythm and tempo of the swing. They also keep your swing on a single plane.

** I am a PGA teaching Professional. I encourage my students to get the Medicus and practice with it. I use it at the driving range for the first ten minutes or so to get my muscles loose and get my swing on line.

Yahoo! Sports (blog)
If the slow play at the Hyundai taught us anything, it's that the PGA Tour needs to start enforcing severe punishments for repeat offenders -- taking away strokes or clubs would do it -- something they've failed to do in the past.
