The great golf players did not achieve their fame overnight. They also went through a lot in order to be good at the game of their choice. In order to excel, they have the right knowledge of the golf swing basics. You have to dedicate time and effort in learning the golf swing drills to be the best golfer that you want yourself to be. So if you are planning to be good on golf, it is highly recommended that you have the knowledge about golf swing basics.

The rules in golf are fairly easy. The principles can be summed as being fair. In the official rule book of golf, it is stated that, \"Play the ball as it lies, play the course as you find it, and if you cannot do either, do what is fair.\" This means that the ball must lie on the ground before you play it.

Practice the golf swing drills and you will go a long way. The ball must be strategically positioned at the instep of your leading foot. Hit the ball on the upswing.

* Assess the distance and determine the force that you will exert on your swing.

* If you think your swing speed is low, try using a flexible shaft.

* During backswings, angle your wrists. Be as well rounded as you can with the golf swing basics because these will serve as the foundation of your game. The following are golf swing basics that you must learn and consider:

* The swing plane is the path that your club travels whenever you make a swing. Having a good swing plane is one of the important factors in golf swing drills. There are players who find it difficult to swing their clubs fast. Strength is important here is you want your ball to cover the distance that you want it to. Developing your strength on this golf swing basics is important.

* Always remember that you body must be in top shape. Exercise is important. If the muscles that you are going to use in golf are not trained, then, it will not function as well as you want it to. Regular exercise will add to your performance level.

In golf, there is always room for improvement. As long as you have the drive to learn and improve, you will no doubt succeed. How do you think the great players became the great ones they are today? Golf is not a hard game at all. If you are a beginner in this sport, of course, it will take some time to learn everything. But the thing is, you just have to take one step at a time and soon, playing golf will come out naturally.

** I have used one before and I think it really helps with tempo, especially the transfer at the top of your swing. It will definately help your swing, if you have a traditional type swing. If you tend to swing a little flat, you will have trouble with the Medicus. It "forces" you to swing upright and on a single plane.
